If You Thought Stress Was Invisible... Think Again — Here’s Your Weekly Wellness Drop
Your weekly dose of what's hot, what's healing, and what's actually worth leaving the house for!

Hi lovelies,
Dubai wasn’t the only city having a wellness moment this month. While GWS wrapped here in the UAE, over in West Palm Beach the Eudēmonia Summit brought together 5,000 longevity enthusiasts, neuroscientists, biohackers, founders and clinicians for three full days of conversations about how we actually live longer, better, clearer lives.
And we’ve been loving reading the takeaways, because even in a room filled with the biggest names in neuroscience, longevity and functional medicine, the message was surprisingly human: people want fewer hacks and more truth. Less noise, more grounded science. Less pressure to optimise, more purpose.
Across the talks and workshops, five themes kept showing up:
Community is medicine. Purpose, belonging and genuine human connection remain the most powerful predictors of long-term health.
Metabolic health is queen. Gut, glucose and mitochondria optimisation stole the show - with everyone from clinicians to Halle Berry reminding us that energy is the ultimate biomarker.
Your nervous system needs a seat at the table. Breathwork, meditation, vagus nerve stimulation and slow movement took centre stage as the antidote to our constant fight-or-flight.
AI is helpful… until it isn’t. A brilliant co-pilot for clinicians, but a cautious companion for our emotional lives.
And the basics? They still matter most. Sleep, nourishment, movement, relationships and low-stress living continue to be the foundation everything else stands on.
So yes, while we’re over here in Dubai covering biohacking gyms, wellness residences and longevity lounges, let’s not forget the heart of it all:
Live well, connect deeply, and don’t skip the foundations - they’re what make everything else actually work.
With love (and a reminder that your nervous system would quite like a walk and a hug)

Wellth Holistic Medical Centre - Jumeirah
Earlier this week we hosted our first ever hosted community event at Wellth - and honestly, it was such an energising morning. We started with a brilliantly clear talk on peptides (what they are, what they do, and why sourcing them properly matters), followed by full sessions of their treatments: IV laser therapy, pressotherapy, ozone sauna, hyperbaric oxygen, PEMF beds and more. It was one of those mornings where learning, connection and hands-on experience came together beautifully, and Wellth was the perfect destination.
We actually visited Wellth for the first time a few months ago, long before planning anything together, and we were genuinely blown away. There’s a lot of noise in the wellness landscape, but places that can truly move the needle on your health are rare - and this is one of them.
Wellth is quite literally a one-stop shop for integrative healing. Alongside functional medicine and the latest longevity therapies, they also offer Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy and Ayurveda - and they honour each tradition properly. The Ayurveda rooms are housed in a separate building (because the oils are strong and sacred), and the treatment beds are the traditional wooden ones brought in from India.
Small details, but they say everything about how intentional this place is.
Their team is another standout. Dr Karima, their functional medicine specialist, is incredible -deeply knowledgeable, warm, direct and extremely values-aligned. We haven’t tried their TCM or Homeopathy services yet, but if the rest of the centre is anything to go by… we’re confident they’ll be exceptional.
In a wellness world full of aesthetic clinics dressing up as longevity hubs, Wellth is the real deal - a genuine integrative medicine centre that is genuinely seeking to de-industrialise healthcare and to bring it back to you - focusing on personalised, integrative care that sees the whole human, not just a symptom in isolation.
So If you’re looking for support that blends modern diagnostics with ancient wisdom, high-tech modalities with personalised care, and a deeper understanding of your whole system… this is your place.
We’ll keep sharing more as we explore their other therapies - but trust us, this is one of the most meaningful additions to Dubai’s wellness scene.
And a little treat for our community: Wellth are giving all Wellness Drop readers 15% off peptides with the code TWD15.
Such a good moment to explore if peptides have been on your radar.

INDUSTRY TRENDS AND NEWS
🔥 Dubai Just Got Its Next Biohacking Playground
Longevity provocateur Dave Asprey has confirmed that Upgrade Labs is officially coming to Dubai - the brand’s first international expansion and his boldest move yet. Announced at the Global Wellness Summit, the concept blends biometric testing, brainwave analysis and AI-driven cardio that Asprey claims can boost VO₂ max by 12% in 15 minutes. With 187 million data points tracked per client each year and a very Asprey declaration that “healthspan is for cowards,” the Dubai launch is set to dial the city’s longevity scene all the way up.
Outtake: AI cardio, brainwave tracking and a promise to “extend human life”? Dubai biohackers are already foaming at the mouth.

💥 Fitness First vs GymNation: The Billboard Beef Nobody Asked For
London just got its own fitness soap opera. After GymNation ran cheeky ads urging Londoners to “escape to Dubai’s self-defence retreat” to dodge phone thieves, Fitness First UK fired back with vans parked right next to the billboards, declaring: “Londoners: We’ve got you. Fight - no flight.” What started as playful marketing now has two former Gymbox directors - now leading both brands - in a full-on public sparring match. Fitness First says the aim is reassurance, not scare tactics, reminding Londoners they can learn self-defence without booking a flight - and definitely without a retreat in the desert.
Punchline: When the gyms start beefing on billboards, you know marketing season has officially peaked.

🏋️♂️ Wearables Are Moving From Wrist to Mind-Reading
The next wave of wellness tech isn’t living on your wrist anymore - it’s hiding behind your ear, inside your earbuds and even in your jewellery. Neurotech startups are betting big on brainwaves as the new daily health metric. SynchNeuro has raised $3M for a behind-the-ear EEG sensor that tracks blood sugar, HRV and activity. Atlas is building its own ear-based brain tracker with $14M, and NextSense just secured $16M for EEG earbuds. Even Lumia is joining in with infrared-powered earrings that monitor blood flow. The message? The future of wearables won’t just watch your habits - it will tune into your brain.
Outtake: Wrist wearables had their run… now the neurotech girlies are here to read your mind.

💤 AI Can Now Spot Chronic Stress in the Body
Researchers have discovered that long-term stress actually changes the size of your adrenal glands - the tiny organs that manage your stress response. Using AI to analyse routine chest scans, scientists found that people with larger adrenal glands had higher cortisol levels, higher stress scores and a greater risk of health issues like heart problems. The breakthrough means doctors may soon be able to measure chronic stress from a scan many people already get, rather than relying on questionnaires or one-off cortisol tests.
Bottom Line: We know the body keeps the score - but now AI does too. And in all seriousness, for so many overworked people who look “fine” on the outside, this could finally validate the internal load their bodies have been carrying all along.
