The forecast? Reflective, refreshing & just a little ridiculous 💭🤯 (hi, creatine up the nose).
Your weekly dose of what's hot, what's healing, and what's actually worth leaving the house for!
Hi lovely,
It’s been a full week for both of us — end of term wrap ups, thank you cards, the bittersweet summer goodbyes. Everything’s moving at warp speed, but as always, we’re so happy to be landing in your inbox with this week’s Wellness Drop.
Before we dive in, we just want to acknowledge how heavy things have felt recently. Particularly for those of us here in the Middle East, there’s been a lot of uncertainty, unrest, and unspoken grief in the air — and all of it feels, well, really rather tender. So this week, we’ve been holding space for it all.
As a small act of support, we’ve rounded up a few of our go-to healers over on the grid — the ones we turn to when our nervous systems need softening, when the emotion feels too big to hold alone, or when we just need someone to witness what’s there.
And we wanted to leave you with three gentle reminders, from our hearts to yours:
Stay devoted to kindness. Even when the world feels loud or divided, let love be your default.
Stay close to the people who feel like home. Your lighthouses in the storm, the ones who help you reach the shore.
Stay anchored in your body. Let your breath guide you, your rest restore you, your movement be your medicine.
So yes — it’s a lot. In the world. In the inbox. In the group chat. And sometimes in our own heads, too. But we hope this week’s Drop brings you a little pause. A little perspective. Maybe even a smile.
Whether you’re vision boarding your next chapter, floating 210m above the city, or eyeing up that Garmin Sleep band like it might just fix your whole life — same, bestie.
Take what you need. Save what speaks to you. And remember: your wellbeing doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be yours.
Big exhale. You’ve got this. We’ve got you.
With love (and just the right amount of magnesium),
Harriet & Katie
xoxo

📍 Blended Wellness - W Hotel, Mina Seyahi
This week, Katie and I swapped our usual team meeting spot for somewhere a little more… blissful. Enter: Blended Wellness, now newly nestled inside the W Hotel Mina Seyahi — and let’s just say, she understood the assignment.
We went full team retreat mode: massages that genuinely recalibrated our nervous systems, blow dries, detox teas and a cosy corner to put the world to rights. Honestly? It was exactly what the doctor ordered.

It’s clear that the space has been designed with intention. It’s the kind of place that meets you where you are: whether you need stillness, a reset, or just a good gossip mid-head massage. We imagine it’s even more magical at night, with the Marina skyline glowing through the windows. Bonus points for their elite treatments (the CBD massage menu is a win for me), a stacked schedule of barre and Pilates classes, and some very tempting spa-day packages that make it easy to turn a quick visit into a full wellness moment..
So if you're looking for somewhere that’s as aesthetically nourishing as it is energetically calming — Blended is your girl.

Floating meditations, peace rituals, spa escapes — and now, ice-cold workouts. Here's what’s happening in wellness this week (July 1–13) 🧘♀️🌊🧊

🏛️ INDUSTRY TRENDS AND NEWS
💍 Oura’s New Era in Women’s Health
Oura just teamed up with Maven Clinic to offer deeper, more tailored care across every stage of the female health journey - from fertility to menopause. This integration means eligible Maven users can now sync their Oura data (think sleep, stress, activity) with the platform, giving care teams real-time insights to better support hormonal shifts, postpartum recovery, and more.
Our take? This one’s personal. Maven was a lifeline for me (Harriet) during my first postpartum period — so seeing them partner with Oura feels like the kind of thoughtful progress women’s health has needed for years. Proactive, personalised, and finally centred around our lived experience, this collab puts Oura firmly back on top of the wearable game.

🛌 Garmin’s New Sleep-Only Wearable Is Dreamy (Literally)
Garmin just launched the Index Sleep Monitor — its first-ever sleep-only tracker. Unlike typical wearables, this one’s screen-free, lightweight, and worn on the upper arm (read: no distractions, no middle-of-the-night glow-ups). It quietly monitors your HRV, sleep stages, breathing, and movement throughout the night — and promises to flag early signs of illness before symptoms even begin. Add in a 7-day battery and a soft, vibrating alarm, and it’s clear Garmin is targeting the sleep-optimising biohacker who doesn’t want more blue light on their wrist.
Our thoughts? We’re very into the illness detection tech, the week-long battery life, and the nervous-system-friendly design. For anyone who wants to optimise rest without overloading their wrist (or their budget), this might be your low-key sleep upgrade.

🥣 Kraft & General Mills Ditch Artificial Dyes — But Is It Too Late?
Food fear is turning into food fact-checking. Under pressure from the MAHA (Make American Health Again) movement and growing scrutiny of ultra-processed ingredients, major players like Kraft and General Mills are finally phasing out artificial dyes in their products. The FDA is fast-tracking natural alternatives, and even the U.S. Department of Health has pledged to remove corporate bias from national dietary guidelines.
Punchline: It's a step in the right direction, but trust in the system is shaky — and for good reason. With only 1 in 4 Americans trusting government food scientists, brands have to do more than rebrand. They have to rebuild.

🏝️ Puerto Rico Wants to Calm You Down (Before You Even Get There)
Puerto Rico just teamed up with Calm — yes, the meditation app — to bring the island’s magic straight to your nervous system. Their new audio collection features meditations, soundscapes, breathwork, and a dreamy sleep story narrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda, designed to lull you from Old San Juan to El Yunque without leaving your sofa. And this isn’t your average rainforest loop. Every sound was recorded by Puerto Rican artists and sound engineers, so it actually feels like you’re there — waves, coquí frogs, and all.
Wellness Verdict: This isn’t just wellness content, it’s five-star tourism strategy. Pure marketing GENIUS. If your vacation starts in your headphones, guess who’s getting your flight booking? Puerto Rico didn’t just sell a destination — they sold the feeling. Smart, soothing, and very effective.

🧪 RESEARCH SPOTLIGHT
🧠 Creatine… Up Your Nose?
A new study found that intranasal creatine (yes friends, snorted) significantly boosted brain creatine levels and improved cognitive performance — in rats. While the delivery method is questionable is best, the science is intriguing. Creatine has already been getting buzzy for its brain-boosting benefits, and this does open the door for even faster, more targeted results.
Our take: Not here for the animal testing firstly (can we not with the lab rats?) And until there are human trials, and even then to be honest, we’ll be sticking with the classic route — in our smoothies, not up our noses. Brain gains, yes. Snortable supplements? Let’s maybe not.

🔮 TREND TO WATCH
🏢 The Office Is Having a Wellness Glow-Up
Turns out, the hottest corporate trend isn’t ping pong tables or bean bags — it’s real wellbeing. Think sunlight, quiet zones, and spaces that actually support your nervous system (not fry it). More companies are finally realising: wellness isn’t a perk, it’s a productivity tool. With burnout on the rise and presenteeism costing 3x more than sick days, smart businesses are designing offices that feel less like pressure cookers, more like places to actually thrive.
Wellness Verdict? A good desk setup is cute, but care is the real strategy. Long live the workplace that works for humans — not just the bottom line.
